It is rare to simply wake up one day and find that you have no hair. Hair loss is usually a gradual process unless a disease is present or you have undergone chemotherapy treatments.
At first, you may notice that more hair is in your shower or sink after your regular washing or that there is more hair in your brush or comb. You may notice that your pillow has lots of strands of hair on it every morning or you may simply discover that you can’t style your hair the way you always have. Did it occur to you that your hair is thinning or did you just shake it off as something that happens to everyone no matter what age?
Hair loss happens for several reasons and it is noticeable if you are paying attention. The best thing you can do is find the cause for the loss and get treatments sooner rather than later. The longer you wait the more hair you will lose.
There are many treatments for hair loss and thinning and there are many experts who can help you. All you have to do is find them and step out of your state of denial to seek a solution. Will you need laser treatments, scalp treatments, stem cell therapy (which is new and holds great promise), hair loss products, hair transplant surgery or simply a hair system to fill in the gaps?
There is only one way to find out... go see someone who knows about hair loss and restoration and let them educate you about what is possible. There are salons that specialize in hair restoration as well as containing a full service hair salon. There are doctors who specialize in hair transplantation and other methods as well. You have lots of choices.
If you are male, are you content to do a comb-over and sadly accept your fate because someone else in your family had male pattern baldness or will you realize that you don’t have to suffer in silence. If you are a female will you wear a hat or fuss for hours each day to try and look as if your hair is still thick and lovely?
Will you feel older or not as attractive and will that change your vision of yourself and of how you think others perceive you? To quote that tired but true expression, “Denial is not just a river in Egypt”. Are you in denial?
If you are reading this site than you know that your choices are obvious and plentiful and that there is someone waiting to help you. All you need to do is book an appointment with a reputable expert in hair restoration and go in for what is often a free evaluation.
Don’t waste one more day staring at yourself in the mirror wishing that you were like you used to be. You can feel good about yourself again and it is up to you how quickly that goal is accomplished.
Do something today... and pardon me for paraphrasing an old cliché; “Hair today, gone tomorrow” doesn’t have to be your fate.
